(3:26) This has been on the site before. It was pulled for some reason, when I was looking at this like some kind of playlist. It's here now until they come around with boxes and collect my stuff.
No Soap Radio theme
About 20 years ago, I got a copy of Acid, the loop editing program, and made this. It sounded so good, I knew I couldn't make anything that easily again, so I didn't do much musically on Acid after that. But I used this as the theme for my show for 6 years. And Acid was the first editor I'd seen that laid out multiple tracks in horizontal lines; it was my workbench between the amazing Turtle Beach Tropez-- imagine being able to clip audio files with a computer!-- and Audacity.
05/19/16 Omigod, a dead link. How did that happen? Works now, though.

CutUpSound: I Believe, 1963
(1:25) I'm starting to use stuff from this massive aircheck of 50-year-old radio on YouTube. It's a real time machine, for me-- "Deep Heating! Deep Heating!"
I Believe, 1963
and here's 33 hours of old, eerie radio.

CutUpSound: Bible Week
(6:36) Old Time Radio recovered from the Oort Cloud. (I think that's a bar where comets and asteroids hang out.)

I want to be like Mr Haney for audio
Not sure exactly what that entails...
UPDATE:
Haney: This harp used to belong to Jenny Lind, the Swedish Nightingale.
Mr Douglas: But Jenny Lind was a soprano!
Haney: Well, she jammed on it in her spare time!

WC Fields: The Fatal Glass of Beer
(2:56) This is the song from his surrealist masterpiece of the same name. It's not here because of its bizarre stock footage cut-ins. I've just had the song going around my head recently. I want to be able to sing it.

Close the door and the light stays on!
Has it really been awhile? I see these blogs that people quit posting on all of a sudden. Like an old garden with the house gone.
This one started Sept 2008. It's had different goals at one time or another. Right now it's a box. One of the challenges is dropping something in it once in a while. I still plan to do that. Had ideas at one time about building traffic here, but-- well, things are what they are. Here and off line.
Which seems to be demanding a lot of attention recently. Blah blah, woof woof. But when you find an audio glitch that blares the truth, I'll be there. When you hear kids laughin' because it's a weird old recording by Tony Schwartz from 1952 and they're playing stickball in Jersey City or something...I am that child.
No, I'm not really leaving. Postings will be when they are. More frequently I hope but who knows.
